Bab Al Bahrain

This is the entrance to Bab Al Bahrain, or otherwise known as the suq. It's got lots and lots of little shops peddling pretty much whatever you would want. I've never actually been inside the suq yet, although one of these days I will make it in there. I have, however, been in the surrounding neighborhood. And I must say that I've never felt truly scared on this island until I was on those small side streets. At one point we were under a huge canopy of black (rebel) flags and Hassan Nasrallah (leader of Hezbollah) pictures. I locked the doors at that point, because we were stuck on a very small one way side street in bumper to bumper traffic. Although, in retrospect, I don't think locking the doors would do much against an RPG.
