Here we go...

So here we go. This was the first photo that I took on my trip, which is of a bird in the airport in Amsterdam. I waited that long because I was scared shitless of the security (remember, I had the "extra special" searches) and this was one of the places I felt safe--in the international food court. I took this right after I met Kate Moore, one of the other new teachers at MKS. I spied a girl after we got off the plane that looked like she might be a teacher, and I was right. Anyway, we had a bit of time to kill waiting for the next flight, and we were both craving pop. So we wandered over to the food court, and spotted this bird next to our table. I don't know how a bird can get into an airport, and it was a nice bit of comedic relief so I took a picture. Oh yeah, did I mention I had to change my American money for fucking Euros before I could purchase said pop? That was the worst plane ride ever.
