Pipelines, pipelines, pipelines

Check out these pipes running up this hill. In the south central part of the island (by the golf courses, F1 track, and tree of life) there are oil pipes EVERYWHERE. I mean literally thousands of these running all over the ground. I've never seen anything like this in my life. There has to be tens of thousands of miles of pipes if you added them all up. I'm surprised they aren't protected at all--there are areas where they run right next to the road. If you had an accident (swerved to miss something, etc) you could easily crash into them. It must not happen that often if they haven't done anything, though.
