What?



So in addition to all the camps set up, apparently people set up temporary businesses. What is normally just all desert in the summer turns in to Bahraini fun land. We stumbled across this what I guess you could call a go cart track in our travels in the desert. They had some small ass 4 wheelers and some dune buggies. The owner saw us (the only white people for miles), walks up to us, and the first thing he says is "I'm from Oregon." My ass he was from Oregon, he was as Arab as they get except for the Green Bay baseball hat he was wearing. He was a cool guy though, and said through December it gets crazy busy out in the desert. We even saw an ice cream truck out here. Fucking amazing. Only in the middle east.

They were slow, that's why I didn't ride 'em. Although, the owners son--about your age--had a souped up dune buggy that was hauling some serious ass. THAT'S the one that I wish I could have rented...
