Party at the Diplomat

So this is a school function that I attended this Friday afternoon at the Diplomat hotel. It was supposed to be for the middle school staff, but a few elementary and high school staff were there as well (the extra special ones, anyway.) This 5 star place is just over 10 dinars ($26.75) for all you can drink champagne, a buffet that I can't even describe because it was so kick-ass, and a Filipino band doin' nothin' but American cover songs. And I'll tell you why--this place was 99.9% US military. I don't know who was defending Bahrain between noon and 4 on Friday because it seemed like the entire base was there.

The following are a series of videos that I recorded. Gotta love YouTube. This first one has some girls that were there apparently as part of a 'sleepover' party. Quite honestly, I'm surprised they let them up dressed like that...

I panned over to show the table of MKSers as well. I'm seated at the one end looking down. There were over 20 of us there, which I consider a good showing...
