Random photos

Remember, I'm doing this backwords. It's going to take me days, if not a week or two to get all of the pictures that I want up here. I have to sort through 2000 pictures that we took (or 4 gigs) and that takes a while, as well as uploading. So keep checking and I should have one or more new posts everyday until this trip is all posted. This is a street in Gibraltar, more pics on that to come.
We stopped at a grocery store in some small town in Spain and they had these on all the bottles of booze (which was right next to the pet section.)
This made me laugh. It was on a trash can near the grocery store. "In the interest of all citizens" in other words "keep your shitty smelling trash in your house until everyone is in bed."
There were lots and lots and lots of tunnels in Spain.
This is some random mountain that I thought looked pretty cool.
This is a highway that ran along the Mediterranean Sea.
Rachel tried to score some construction shots for Dad. Sorry about the low light.
Here's another one.
And another one. They had these huge signs all over the place, but I couldn't understand any of them. I took that to mean I didn't have to follow the laws--after all, I couldn't read the sign, officer.
This is where we stayed, the place Ian was renting. This bad boy is 4500 bucks a month, and it's in probably the richest town of Spain on the coast. We were way out of our class bracket, but fuck it, it was free. Carol and Ian were supposed to come for Christmas and New Year's but never showed up. So it was just Laurie, Wiz, Rachel & I. Not too shabby. There is no way in hell we would have been able to afford being on vacation as long as we were if we didn't stay here. It was really nice of them to let us stay there--and on top of that, Ian wasn't paying for it anyway--Exxon Mobile was.
We had a couple poker nights to keep us entertained. That's Laurie in her PJ's, and her new fiance, Whiz. Whiz is from Carol and Ian's hometown in England, and he proposed to her while we were there.
A freeway sign for our exit.
A backed up view of the apartment. Under this bridge is water for the super rich people's boats to get to their docks.
To the right standing on the bridge above.
And to the left standing on the bridge above.
The name of the town (or rather, gated community) we stayed in was Sotogrande.
Looking down the street. You had to walk out from the apartment, over the bridge, and out to this road to get to the car. The building had a huge underground parking garage but we didn't have the clicker to open the door to get in so we had to park out here. Our rental is the red car on the left.

Looking up from the same spot as the above picture. The apartment is the building in the back.
