Flossin'


This is a typical side street in Bahrain. Shops everywhere ground level, and flats above. See that sticker in the windshield? Get used to it 'cause it's in a shitload of pictures. That sticker is the registration/proof of insurance for the car. They don't put stickers on the license plate but rather on the windshield. And see that "go slow" sign? Ha. They drive like fucking lunatics here, but surprisingly there seems to be very few traffic accidents. They have the mentality here that if you are going to speed, eventually you'll get in a wreck and die and that will be your penalty. The only time I have seen the police pull people over was for random alcohol checkpoints. They have no tolerance for drinking and driving here. If they can smell alcohol on you, it's taken as prima facie evidence and you are automatically charged. I've seen checkpoints up as early as 4 in the afternoon here. Crazy.
